Authentic Far Eastern recipes
Fragrant boiled rice (serves two)
Ingredients:
- 1 level teacup full of fragrant rice
Method:
Place rice into a saucepan
Wash rice twice or more in cold water to remove starch
Add more water for cooking so that rice is at the level of the first knuckle and the water is at the level of the second knuckle of your finger
Heat until boiling and then stir gently with a fork
Reduce heat and partly cover
Simmer until water is gone
Cover fully and leave for approximately 3 minutes
Checked if rice is cooked by tasting
