Authentic Far Eastern recipes
Mussels cooked in white wine (serves one)
Ingredients:
- ½ kilogram mussels
- ½ bottle dry white wine
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- juice of half lemon
- 2 small shallots chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 25 grams parsley chopped
Method:
Place the mussels in a saucepan with a small amount of hot water and cover with saucepan lid
Steam until the mussels have opened, shaking occasionally
Remove any mussels that have not opened
Add the remaining ingredients and cook for a further 5 minutes approximately until the mussels are firm
Serve while hot with fresh crusty bread
